Lovevolution 2009 – San Francisco, CA


StarCulture live performance on the main stage of Lovevolution. 100,000+ gather in San Francisco’s Civic Center for SF’s version of Love Parade.

StarCulture brought out the full band for this show. iCatching, Raj on Sitar, Suze Q’s live performance, Sunevil on drums, Andria’s belly-dancing and David’s signature live set on bass and HandSonic. Capped off with a 20ft wide LED screen and 6 live camera feeds.
The set included David Starfire’s original music and mashups with dubstep and electro.

Air Conditioned Supperclub 2009 – Venice, CA


StarCulture headlined the monthly 16bit party July of 09.

StarCulture full live set included MC/signer iCatching, Raj on sitar and dancer/performer Suze Q.

Nokia Photoshoot 2009 – Los Angeles, CA


Asked to create a rooftop party scene in downtown Los Angeles for Nokia’s 09 catalog.

StarCulture created the visual environment and then performed a DJ/VJ set for the shoot.

Digg Nation 2009 – Los Angeles, CA


StarCulture w/ iCatching does a live performance for Digg Nation’s live webcast show at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood CA.

Musikmesse 2008 – Frankfurt,Germany


Roland/Edirol Europe invited StarCulture to perform daily at Musikmesse in Frankfurt Germany.

StarCulture created a special set that showcased the latest Roland and Edirol hardware.Ableton Live was used to trigger the hardware via MIDI.

MacWorld 2008 – San Francisco, CA


StarCulture was invited by Best Buy to perform daily at their booth during MacWorld SF.

Grant and David rotated on stage with Herbie Handock, and David J. (Love and Rockets and Bauhaus).


The Forum 2007 – Monterrey, Mexico


Forum is produced every 4 years and is coined to be the Olympics of performing arts. Forum was held at the Parque Fundidora in Monterrey Mexico.

Performing artists from all over the world performed nightly. From French circus parades to Puppet operas and even our own StarCulture set. 6 nights a week for 3 months there are different performances going on. The scale of this event is huge.

New Album ‘Bollyhood Bass’


Hey there folks,

David Starfire is releasing his new album “Bollyhood Bass” is going to drop on Jan 12th and released through Six Degrees Records! Its a 14 track album that will have original tunes, collaborations and remixes featuring FreQ Nasty,The Ragga Twins, Lynx, Raja, Jamie Janover, iCatching, Ysanne Spevak and a ton of other guests from around the world! It’ll have the same kind of world “bass whomp” vibe as Bombay Beatz and will feature uptempo, midtempo, hip hop and dubstep songs that’ll be dance floor slammers! I also have a remix that I produced for SubSwara called Koli Stance that is out now that I will be giving away for free to promote their Coup d’Yah Remixes Volume 3 plus a new track “Tumbi Blaster” on the next High Chai Recordings comp called Nu asian soundZ out in late Dec!
